Accessing your product
You can download your new child theme from the link included in your order confirmation email, from your Brand & Build account.
You will have two files: themename-for-kadence.zip and themename-supplementary-files.zip.
themename-for-kadence.zip is your actual child theme. Do NOT extract this zip file, but DO extract themename-supplementary-files.zip as it contains a changelog, and any additional assets or information required for the child theme.
Before you begin
You must have the free Kadence Theme by KadenceWP and the free Gutenberg Blocks by Kadence Blocks plugin installed to use this Child Theme. Both are available from the WordPress.org repository.
To avoid any issues during installation it is highly recommended that you use this child theme on a fresh WordPress installation.
It is also a good idea for SEO purposes to navigate to Settings > Permalinks and set the Common Settings to Post name.

Replacing images
This theme will install with the stock images you see in the demo but we do not provide a license for use and they remain the property of their respective owners. For ease, you can assume that any images of an actual person who is the subject of the theme (Raven for instance) are premium stock images and may not be used by you without purchasing your own license. Images used for content and blog posts are sourced from sites like Unsplash and Kaboom Pics, which you can use for free without attribution.

Customising this theme
Font sizes
Nadia uses the native Kadence CSS Clamp feature for automatically defining font sizes and fluidly scaling across devices. This means you never need to set a font size in the block settings for headings unless you want to change the size of a particular heading for aesthetic purposes.
If you change the fonts used in the child theme you may want to change the font sizes too. To do this, navigate to Appearance > Customise > Additional CSS. You’ll see a section of CSS at the top that defines the minimum, preferred, and maximum font sizes. You can change these values and your font sizes will automatically adjust across your site.

Custom fonts
The custom handwriting font used in Nadia is Bestermind. This font is free for personal and commercial use and will install with the child theme.
Setting up the Instagram feed
This theme uses the Smash Balloon social media feeds plugin. The wizard will guide you through setting up an Instagram feed, but if you have trouble, extensive documentation can be found here.
Once your feed is connected, apply the following settings within the plugin.
In the customise tab, disable the header, load more button, and the follow button.
Next click Feed Layout, and inside, apply the following settings:
Layout = grid
Padding = 5px
Number of posts on desktop = 6
Number of posts on mobile = 6
Columns desktop = 6
Columns tablet = 3
Columns mobile = 2
Save your settings and view the front end. The shortcode within the widgets will pick up your feed and display your posts. If you don’t see your feed, check the ID in the shortcode matches the ID in your Instagram feed inside Smash Balloon.
