I have 5+ years experience building and selling successful Divi child themes, and I’m here to share all that knowledge with you in this reworked and streamlined course that has already helped over 450 students.
I had all of these amazing ideas in my head, but I just didn’t know HOW to actually do it. This course couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for me. Once I saw it was open for enrollment, I invested right away, and it has been well worth it!

Earn an income doing exactly what you loveChild themes are more than design.
I earn a consistent income from my child themes because I know what sells and why. I’ve honed my process through trial and error (lots of error!) and I’m here to share it all with you in easy to follow, bite-sized steps that work.
I am so glad I took the course. It has opened up a whole new source of income for me, and making child themes is very enjoyable (you get to make the site the way you want it, with no client coming in and “ruining” it!)
What we’ll cover
Know your niche
Identifying your niche not only gives you the potential of a ready made market, it will speed up the creation process because you know what elements business owners in this niche need on their websites, and you’re going to give it to them.
You don’t need a garage full of tools to create and sell Divi child themes. I’ll show you the essentials to get you started and you can build as you grow. We’ll cover hosting, multisite vs individual, packaging, and support systems.
I’ll cover the plugins you might want to include, and the ones you won’t. Plus, I’ll talk about how using certain plugins can increase the value and saleability of your child themes.
Time is your most valuable asset, and streamlining your workflow is key. I’ll show you how to use wireframing to speed up the creation process so each time you start a new child theme, you’re not starting from scratch.
Want to appeal to your niche? Design is key. You don’t have to be an expert, but understanding what works for your target market goes a long way towards securing sales. The less they need to change your theme, the more likely they are to buy it.
Just because a Divi module was designed for a certain purpose, doesn’t mean you can’t use it for something else. I’ll talk about how choosing the right module for the job can save you a ton of headaches and extra code.
Classes & Presets
I’ll cover using custom CSS classes and the Divi preset system to create a suite of modules that will not only speed up your process, but also allow your buyers to create new pages without the need to edit code or contact you for support.
If you plan on using extra CSS to really make your child themes stand out from the crowd, you need to ensure it’s structured and commented well so there are no conflicts, and code blocks are easy to find.
Testing & Packaging
This is where we bring your creation to life and get it ready for sale. I’ll cover the process of testing your designs, creating the install package, and then testing them again (and again).
While installing child themes should be a simple process, you always need documentation. Here I’ll talk about the documentation you need, and potential ways to present this to your customers.
Support & Updates
This is key to happy customers and repeat sales. I’ll talk about keeping your themes updated, policies, what you should and shouldn’t cover, and why support is essentially what you are selling.
This was the best money I have invested in a long time. Michelle’s course covers a lot of information, delivered in modules that are easy to understand and refer back to.

Who am I?
A little bit about me
And I mean a little bit, because really, this isn’t about me, it’s about you.
Since starting Divi Soup in 2016 I have gone from working full time with clients as a freelancer, to running a full time Divi child theme and education business.
I am a mother of two gorgeous girls and in my previous life worked predominantly in marketing and training, winning several industry awards for business excellence and training programs.
Some time ago I vowed never to have a boss ever again. So far, so good!
Michelle is a wonderful instructor… she has a great passion for what she does and is uniquely generous with her knowledge. I myself have spent many years as an instructor, so I can honestly say that Michelle is a rare breed.
